Our Story
Hello, my name is Monqiue Caruth, the artist behind MOCA Ceramics. I create from my home studio in the south Bay Area, California, drawing inspiration from my Japanese and Dutch heritage. Inspired by nature, I create pieces that celebrate simplicity, functionality, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
Each ceramic piece is made to be used and enjoyed for years to come. Whether it's a favorite morning mug, a bowl that will elevate your soup, or a vase with earthy and organic textures, I hope to add artistry to your daily life.
No two pieces are exactly alike. Every item is carefully shaped, glazed, and finished by hand, celebrating the unique qualities of handmade ceramics.
I am a wife, mother of two, and proud ceramic artist. My pottery journey began in 2020 as a creative outlet during the pandemic. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a life-changing passion and an outlet from my 30+ year career working in the medical device field. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my work with you and hope each piece finds a special place in your home.
